Nothing is more important to TRIS COFFIN than the health of your eyes. We are privileged to have a team of qualified optometrists on the premises, whose main goal is to keep your eyes healthy. Our examination rooms are equipped with the latest equipment, where you will receive a thorough eye exam and will benefit from advices and recommendations to prevent eye diseases. Any of our optometrists may perform a deep analysis of your eyes, screening and detecting for glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal detachment and cataracts. Our state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment enables us to build an eye health chart designed specifically for you.
Our optometrists also work hand-in-hand with other health professionals, particularly ophthalmologists for patient follow-ups after refractive surgery, or when certain conditions, such as glaucoma and diabetes have to be looked after. The following tests can also be performed: Digital Retinal Imaging, also known as fundography, is the creation of a photograph of the interior surface of the eye. Automated Peripheral Vision Screening to test for nerve damage due to glaucoma, tumors and stroke. Internal Eye Measurement to check for glaucoma and Bio-Microscopy for a more detailed examination of the internal and external layers of the eye
Screening for eye diseases
Digital Retinal Imaging, also known as fundography, is the creation of a photograph of the interior surface of the eye. This includes the retina, the optic disk, the macula and the posterior pole. Digital Retinal Imaging is used primarily to detect eye diseases such as glaucoma. With glaucoma, the loss of vision often occurs gradually over a long period of time, and symptoms only appear when the disease is quite advanced.
Thanks to our top-of-the-line imaging equipment (scan 3D-oct), we can detect ocular diseases such as macular degeneration. We also use Artificial Intelligence in optometry to make it easier to screen for diseases during eye exams. This system analyzes your eyes and provides the optometrist with additional data for further evaluation.
AI applied on fundus imaging can detect certain diseases such as:
• Diabetic retinopathy
• Hypertensive retinopathy
• Macular degeneration
Once the vision is lost, it cannot be recovered, so treatment is aimed at preventing further loss. Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness in the world, after cataracts.
We offer a wide selection of contact lenses including disposable soft contact, multifocal, toric, and colored lenses. Whether your wear daily, weekly or monthly disposables, or conventional lenses, discover our selection of lenses that fit your needs. A good contact lens fit starts with a thorough eye exam to ensure the most up-to-date prescription and rule out pre-existing conditions that could interfere with contact lens wear. We will determine the best fitting lens based on your lifestyle needs, the shape and health of your eye.
In most cases, you will have the opportunity to try lenses on the same day of your exam. You can even go home with a few samples before making the final decision. We follow up initial fitting and then make the necessary changes in fit or materials to get you the best possible fit. We teach all patients proper contact lens care and also the possible consequences if proper care is not taken. We continue with long-term follow-up to monitor the condition of the lenses and to ensure that proper hygiene is being maintained.
